Hi, I'm "jinny"
I'm a Graphic & Fine Artist from Metro Detroit, but the "Fine" comes first. Self-expression through visual art is my thing. Everything else I do is just to make that possible.
My given name is Jennifer Boettner, but growing up I was Jenny B. and as an artist I've been jB, jennifer Anne, and now jinny, and that's who I plan to be from here on out.
I studied Graphic Design at Michigan State University, and while I love it in the right context, my heart belongs to the fine arts. After a lifetime of dabbling, I finally & serendipitously began furiously creating in early 2021.
In September of 2024 I ventured out to ArtPrize for the first time, and in October of 2024 I held my first exhibition titled "Good Girl." Since then I've been live painting, I've been to ArtPrize a second time, The Dirty Show once, and I'm continuing to learn and grow my art practice.
